Quarterly Report - 152 East 11th Street, Tracy Page 6 <br /> Also, shortly after the close of the reporting period, the soil stockpiled at the treatment <br /> site was spread for aeration It will be periodically aerated and exposed to the sun until it <br /> is free of olfactory indicators of components of gasoline and will then be sampled to <br /> determine if treatment is complete before being disposed in situ in beneficial use as an <br /> agricultural soil amendment <br /> Report on Remediation <br /> An engineering report that will document the remediation work performed at the 152 East <br /> 1 1 th Street site is being prepared and will be completed shortly after results of post- <br /> treatment sampling of the hydrocarbon-affected soils are available <br /> Groundwater Quality Monitoring <br /> Prior to implementation of the remediation program, an extended series of rounds of <br /> groundwater sampling and analysis was conducted at the subject site according to the <br /> procedures and schedule established by the approved Groundwater Sampling Plan - <br /> Property at 152 Fast I Ith. Street. Tracy. California The last sampling performed <br /> according to that plan occurred on November 15th 1995 The CAP projected that <br /> additional groundwater monitoring related to what, at the time, was thought to be a <br /> release of gasoline from a source beneath the site might also be required However, <br /> following the findings made during the remediation work that is describe in this report, the <br /> SJCPHS has indicated that no father monitoring by the owners of the 152 East 11 th Street <br /> property will be required and that a request to close the wells installed as part of the site <br /> characterization work should be submitted This will be done following completion of the <br /> report on remediation and formal submission of a request for closure of the site <br /> Closure <br /> Following the guidance of the SJCPHS, planing and engineering work preparatory to <br /> submittal of a request for closure of the 152 East 11th Street property as a suspected <br /> location of an unauthorized release of hydrocarbon fuel is currently underway It will be <br /> submitted when the requisite reports and professional certifications are completed It is <br /> expected that the request for closure will be supported by the staff of the SJCPHS staff <br /> Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund Application <br /> The accounting and clerical work necessary to prepare and maintain the cost data and <br /> documentation required for periodic submittal of Standard Form Payment Requests under <br /> the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund in compliance with the <br /> CSWRCB's administrative rules is ongoing <br />
