The most recent disposal <br /> record for used antifreeze was dated March 23, 2015. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste <br /> per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. <br /> Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of <br /> the manifest to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> The following drums were observed in the hazardous waste storage area: <br /> -A 55 gallon blue steel drum of used antifreeze was observed in the hazardous waste storage area with no hazardous <br /> property and no physical state marked. <br /> -A 55 gallon red steel drum of used oil with a label faded to illegible. <br /> -A 55 gallon red steel drum of used oil with an incorrect accumulation start date of 8/26/15. According to disposal <br /> records, the used oil was last picked up on March 16, 2016. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties (ignitable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> -physical state (liquid, solid) <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by May 27, 2016. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include <br /> your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant <br /> activities and required fields. <br /> Wastes generated at this facility: Used oil, used antifreeze, oily absorbent, spent lead acid batteries, oily water <br /> Documents reviewed: Bills of lading for spent lead acid batteries, Consolidated manifesting receipts <br /> Documents provided: Return to Compliance Certification form, Schedule of free CUPA classes, SJC Small <br /> Business Household Hazardous Waste Facility, Sample Hazardous Waste label <br /> Page 5 of 6 <br />
