Mosbacher - Project Engineer
On 18 April 1996, Triple E Produce completed installation of the extraction well, and pumping
began to the aeration pond according to the approved work plan.
In concurrence with the work plan, extraction well soil cuttings from below the water table
elevation (64 feet) were placed on a heavy mil plastic tarp and tested for chloroform content
using method EPA 8240. Primary samples are identified as NA, EA, SA, and WA referring
to north, cast, south, and west quadrants of the tarp. Duplicate samples were similarly labeled
using the letter "B". The results of this testing indicates no detectable chloroform. (See FGL
laboratory reports STK 631956-1 and -2, attached). Therefore, Triple E has proceeded to
dispose of these soil cuttings in a vacant agricultural field at its Tracy facility.
Please feel free to contact Tom Guido, Triple E Produce, at (209) 835-5123, if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
CONDOR EARTH TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
Robert C.
