Mosbacher, P.E. 86go w Rd-
Project Engineer
RE: REPORT OF WASTE DISCHARGE FOR THE EXPANSION AND UPDATING OF
WASTEWATER AND GROUNDWATER WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS
TRIPLE E PRODUCE, TRACY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
Triple E Produce has requested updating of its Waste Discharge Requirements for its existing
wastewater treatment systems and the point of compliance for the wastewater treatment process.
Furthermore, in its letter of November 22, 1995, Triple E confirmed that it wanted separate
Waste Discharge Requirements (WDR) for its packing facility effluent and for its groundwater
extraction project. In view of the fact that a separate WDR was requested for the extracted
groundwater, Triple E provided the $1,200 application fee for such requirements.
In your letter of November 1, 1995, Triple E was asked to provide some additional information
to support its Report of Waste Discharge (ROWD) and its requested WDRs. In response to your
request, Triple E has asked Condor Earth Technologies, Inc. to provide that information
hereupon.
1. Liquid mass balance data for the disposal of the extracted groundwater is presented in
Table 1 - Monthly Water Balance. The table was prepared using the historical monthly
meteorological information for a 100 year wet season. The table provides data for the
volume of the water stored in the aeration pond, the elevation of the stored water,
percolation volumes, and the balance of treated groundwater required to be pumped to
the spray field. An explanation of the Groundwater Treatment System Water Balance
Table is attached.
2. As requested, Triple E will use a separate spray field for disposal of any extracted
groundwater coming from the treatment facility. A 16 acre apricot orchard, which is
adjacent to the existing packing plant effluent spray field, will by used for disposal of the
extracted groundwater.
3. A revised site plan is found in Figure A-1.
ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING GEOTECHNICAL
