'1w
STATE OF CALit=JhVIA PETE WILSON Governor
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD—
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION
3443 ROUTIER ROAD, SUITE A
SACRAMENTO, CA 95827-3098
PHONE: (916) 361-5600
FAX: (916) 361-5686
18 June 1991
Mr. Nathan Esformes, President
Triple E Produce Corp.
Post Office Box 239
Tracy, CA 95378
REVIEW OF WORK PLAN AMENDMENT, TRIPLE E PRODUCE, INC. , TRACY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
I have reviewed the report entitled "Work Plan Amendment, Extension of Groundwater
Investigation, Triple E Produce, Inc. " submitted by your consultant, Weston. The
work plan is acceptable with the following provisions:
1. The wells shall be developed until they are sediment-free.
2. When sampling the wells, sampling shall be in order of least contaminated to
most contaminated.
3. One duplicate sample shall be taken for every 10 samples or portion thereof.
Thus, a duplicate sample is needed even if only one sample is collected.
4. All sampling equipment shall be decontaminated prior to sampling and between
sampling events.
5. MW-5 and MW-6 shall be sampled once before the next quarterly sampling in
September and then a second time during the September quarterly sampling to
verify the initial results and allow for a better evaluation of the data. This
will prevent delays in any further investigative needs.
A progress report which includes the results of the initial sampling of MW-5 and MW-
6 is due by 6 September 1991. As stated in the work plan, a final report which
includes the September quarterly sampling shall be submitted by 31 October 1991.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5649.
POLLY LOWRY
Associate Engineering Geologist
PAL:mdm
cc: San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Stockton
Mr. Paul Sundberg, Weston, Escalon
