INTRODUCTION , Advanced Gc6Environmental,Inc., (AGE)has prepared'this quarterly repot for 348 West Harding Way, .Stockton, California: The objectives of the.work•were to monitor dissolved : etrolcum r - p hydrocarbon.concentrations in°ground water and to characterize+.ground water flow,direction.and gradient. The site setting is illustrated on.Figure 1;.site structures and monitoring well locations,are iiepicted on Figure 2. This report has been prepared in:accordance with guidelines established-by the California Regional . Water Quality Control Board-Central Valley Division(CRWQCB)fo'r.iiivest gation of underground storage tank(UST)sites.A summary of previous investigations at the site was included in the AGE-' -prepared Additional Site Assessment and Ground Water Extraction Workplan, dated 29 December 2000.Historical information for the site is included in Appendix A:Analytical data for groundwater. . samples acquired to date is included in this report:. 2.0. PROCEDURES On 16 January 2003, ground water monitoring, and sampling were performed at the site -on - monitoring wells MW-3 through.MW-10; and depth to water was measured at wells MW-I and ' MW-•2.Groundwater monitoring procedures for the site were outlined in Work Plan Addendum For . . Additional Ground Water Investigation, dated 1.5 November 1995,prepared by AGE and approved" by the San Joaquin County. Environmental Health Department (EHD), by permit dated '. 07 December 1995, and conform to ground water monitoring guidelines issued by the EHD. 2.1. WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in wells MW-1 through ; MW-10 relative to the top of the well casing. The ground water elevations and hydraulic gradient . at the site were calculated.from thisidata (Table 1).' Afterground water depths were measured, a pre-cleaned, two-stage submersible pump or new disposable, dedicated bailers were used-to'evacuate water in wells MW-3 through MW-10. During ' the January' sampling event; approximately 9 to 12 gallons of water (a minimum of three casing- water volumes) were removed front each well. Temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at.3-gallon intervals using an Oakton water,analyzer.'Purged'water was stored in 55=gallon DOT- '. approved drums on-site.
