it'll I u UV
Quarterly Report .,Thirds Quarter 20421,
• I" Former.HESS-DUBOIS'CLEANERS I '
348 West Harding Way,'Stockton; California
1.0. INTRODUCTION"
r
Advanced,GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for 348 ,West Harding
Way, Stockton, California. The objectives of the 'work 'were to monitor dissolved .petroleum
-hydrocarbon-concentrations in ground water and to characterize ground water flow direction',and
gradient. The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1;site structures and monitoring well locations.are
depicted on Figure 2. : ;
This report has been prepared iri accordance with guidelines establi`shed'by,the California Regional . .
Water"Quality.Control Board Central Valley Division(CRWQCB)for investigation of underground ,
storage tank(UST)sites.A summary of previous investigations'at the site was included in the AGE-
prepared'Additional Site Assessment and Ground Water Extraction Workplan,dated-29 December .
2000. Analytical data for ground water samples acquired to date is included.in,this report..
2.0. PROCEDURES
'.M On 18,September 2002, ground water monitoring and sampling were performed at .the site on
monitoring wells MW-3 through'MW-10, and depth to water was measured at wells MW-1 and
MW-2. Ground water monitoring procedures for the site were outlined in Work Plan Addendum For'
Additional Ground Water Investigation, dated 15 November 1995,:preparedby AGE and approved
by the Sanjoaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)by permit dated 07 December
1995, and conform to ground water monitoring guidelines issued by the EHD.
WELL MONITORING
2.1 W AND EVACUATION'. - ., • , • ' .;'
A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ound water in wells MW-1 through
ep g t o gh
MW-10 relative to the top of the well casing. The ground waterelevations and hydraulic'gradient
' at the site were calculated from this data {Table 1). '
After ground water depths were.'measured, a pre-cleaned, two-stage "submersible pump,or new
disposable, dedicated bailers were used to evacuate water in wells MW-3 through MW-10. During
the September sampling event,,approximately 9 to 12.gallons of water(a minimum of three casing-,
water volumes)'were removed from each well. Temperature,-pH,'and conductivity were measured
' at 2-gallon intervals using an Oakton water analyzer..Purged water was stored in'55-gallon DOT-
-
approved drums on-site. Monitoring wellstabilization data and field ata.-sheets are included in -
' Appendix A.
_ r
