<br /> .Field activities at the sitq were performed in"accordance with guidelines for the subsurface
<br /> investigation of.underground.storage tank (UST) sites esiablished'by the Central,Valley Regional
<br /> Water'Quality Control Board-(CVRWQCB) and by the"San Joaquin County Public He'alt�a Services

<br /> 2.1. DRILLING.AND SAMPLING
<br />:11 In January 2000, four soil borings were advanced,at the site. Three soil borings SBI and
<br /> SB2) were advanced using a CME-75,drill rig, equipped.with 8.25-inch.diameter hollow-stem ;
<br /> augers. One soil boring(MW=7)was advanced using a CME HT75 Limited''..access drill•rig equippeld
<br /> with 8.25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers. The drill rigs and,two-man crew were supplied by West '.,

<br /> Soil samples were collected ahead of the drrll bit,usmg'a Cahforma mod<fied split-tube sampler
<br /> loaded With three pre-cleaned 2-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves. The samples were collected'frol
<br /> `monitoring well pilot boring MW-7 and•.borings SBI and SB2,'at five-foot intervals, beginning
<br /> 5 feet bsg='using a 140-pound hammer to,advance the sampler 18.inches..The number,of blows
<br /> required to advanc&the sampler,in 6-inch increments was recorded'ori,the Boring logs. Sampling
<br /> '. eq>_iipmcnt was washed-iri an Alc'6nox solution and rinsed with water pnOr,to,each sampling run to•�
