Both these
calculations are consistent with regional and local trends. The flow direction continues to
' be north-northwest.
5.2 Petroleum Hydrocarbon Impacted Soil
' Petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soil remains in the vicinity of MW-3. The extent of the
impacted soil has not been determined. Additional assessment will be necessary to
' determine the extent of impacted soil and to design an appropriate remediation system.
' 5.3 Petroleum Hydrocarbon Impacted Groundwater
Concentrations of TPH as Stoddard Solvent has decreased in all three monitoring wells from
' November 1993 to September 1994. Concentrations of BTE&X has not been detected in
MW-1 and MW-2 since the first sampling event in November 1993. Very Iow concentrations
of Benzene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes were still detected in MW-3. In the third quarter,
xn..a.e.:awnak"
1
