No odor was detected when the water level measurements were taken
in MW-1 and MW-2, MW-3 , however, had a strong hydrocarbon odor.
The gradient determination calculations are contained in Appendix
A.
I
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The gradient is north-northwesterly at 0.020 ft/ft.
The direction of the gradient is not consistent with data from
other sites within a half mile of the subject parcel.
MW-3 may have floating product, therefore, JPCA recommends that a
bailer be taken on the site during the next month'swater level
measurements to determine if there is floating product in the well.
This report has been prepared specifically for Mr. Peter Wallace
with specific application to a hazardous waste investigation.
