The CPT interpretive logs are presented in Appendix A.
Rinseate generated during drilling activities was containerized in properly labeled DOT-approved
55-gallon drums and was stored on-site in an area lacking public access. The CPT soil borings were
backfilled over their entire depth range with a bentonite/portland cement grout mix.
2.2. GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION
Following advancement of the initial boring to collect lithologic data, a HydroPunch ground water
sampling tool was attached to the hollow-stem rod assembly and utilized to collect grab ground
water samples at specified depths from an immediately adjacent,twin soil boring. The ground water
samples were collected at the selected depths based on the previously acquired CPT lithologic log
indicating favorable conditions for sampling ground water.Ground water sample was collected from
the CPT borings at the following intervals:
• CPT-1 was sampled between 74 feet and 80 feet bsg and between 116 feet and 120 feet bsg;
• CPT-2 was sampled between 71 feet and 75 feet bsg and between 111 feet and 115 feet bsg;
• CPT-3 was sampled between 46 feet and 50 feet bsg, between 58 feet and 62 feet bsg, and
between 106 feet and 110 feet bsg;
• CPT-4 was sampled between 71 feet and 75 feet bsg and between 106 feet and 110 feet bsg;
Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc.
