MORTHOLE & ZEPPETELLA
Mr. Michael Infurna
September 20, 1993
Page 3
As you know, GeoAudit has completed the field work for
the additional site investigation requested by the County last
April. GeoAudit will prepare a report for submission to the
County once the analytical test results are received. In the
event that the County determines, after reviewing GeoAudit's
final report, that further investigation or remediation may be
required, we will request a meeting with you to discuss the
results of the extensive investigation completed to date and the
status of the site.
If additional work is required, please be advised that
we will also request that the County identify and involve all
other potentially responsible parties in the site investigation
and cleanup. The Reades have cooperated fully with the County
and have spent considerable sums to investigate and remediate the
site over the past several years. However, there is absolutely
no justification not to require the participation of other
potentially responsible parties, particularly Exxon Corporation,
in any further site investigation and cleanup activities.
The best interests of all concerned will clearly be
served by moving forward cooperatively in an effort to resolve
expeditiously any outstanding issues associated with the site.
With that goal in mind, we look forward to working with you.
Please call me or my partner, Karl Morthole, if you
have any questions.
Sincerely,
Marc A. Zeppetello
cc: Donna Heran, RENS Program Manager
Environmental Health Division
Vic Chevren, GeoAudit
Mark Koorenny, Esq. , Attorney for Exxon
Erik Anderson, Esq. , Attorney for Mr. Tiscornia
