Harding Avenue, Stockton
Dear Mike:
Please accept this letter as an addendum to our Work Plan previously submitted
for this site on April 22, 1991.
First, we have been informed by the City of Stockton that it may be two more
weeks before they can issue us the Encroachment Permit to drill the wells into the side-
walk. Consequently, we will not be drilling next Tuesday, May 7, as we had hoped.
You and I also discussed the proposed sampling frequency, along with the size
and ultimate fate of the wells. The wells we are proposing are four inch (4")diameter
wells. if the initial sampling of the wells comes back'^, or within MCis for ground-
water, we will sample 31 days after the initial sampling. If those samples are also ND,
we will destroy the weIls, under permit, in the prescribed fashion required by law.
In the event that the ground water is contaminated, we will sample on a
quarterly basis and propose other investigative or remedial activities, as indicated by
the findiras from the initial wells.
'We will call you as soon as we obtain the permits and schedule our drilling.
Thank you, again, for your help on this project.
Sincerely,
Steven J. Furnas, 9A
WHFEnvironmental Consultants,_Inc.
SJF/cdc
