Excavated sails were clays CL <br /> t <br /> and silty =lays t ML/CL 1 . <br /> Ground water elevations in the vicinity of the site were ob- <br /> tained from monitor well records of the California Dept. of Wats <br /> Resources, The Department measures water levele in numerous <br /> monitor well% owned by City of stackton and CalTrans which are <br /> located throughout the city. <br /> Records have been collected for spring and fall on a yearl / <br /> basis since the early 1960'5. These data are published in a <br /> pamphlet entitled " HISTORICAL GROUND WATER LEVE!_S IN SAN J0AGIUIN <br /> COUNTY, which is prepared by CDWR - CENTRAL DISTRICT. <br /> We constructed a regional scale ground water contour map of <br /> the site vicinity using thesf1data.
