M � <br /> CLOSURE SUMMARY REPORT <br /> ' Yellow Submarine <br /> 140 West Harding Way <br /> Stockton, California <br /> July 1994 <br /> ' 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> ' In accordance with a request from Ms. Deborah Reade, on behalf of the Campodonico and <br /> Tiscornia Trusts, Geological Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudit).has prepared this :Closure <br /> Summary Report (CSR) for the property located at 140 West Harding .Way in Stockton, <br /> ' California the site); assessors parcel numbers 137-07-051, -052 -and -053. This report is <br /> prepared in accordance with a requirement of the San Joaquin ;County Public, Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD). Included in this report is a history <br /> of underground storage tank (UST) removal, assessment and remediation activities at the <br /> site. <br /> The site is located in a flat, commercial/residential area of central Stockton. The property <br /> is currently vacant and undeveloped. The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A <br /> plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2. <br /> ' 2.0 HISTORICAL LAND USE <br /> 2.1 Property Usage <br /> ' According to Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps, a dwelling was located at 140 West Harding <br /> Way (parcels 51 and 52) in 1917. Other historical research indicated that the site was <br /> ' developed in 1932 as a Shell Gasoline Station and remained a Shell Station until <br /> approximately 1961. From approximately 1961 through 1972, the site was operated as an <br /> Enco Service Station; in 1973, the site operated as an Exxon Station. From 1974.to 1977; <br /> ' the site was vacant. From 1978 through January 1991, the property was operated as a <br /> sandwich shop called The Yellow Submarine. <br /> ' According to information provided to GeoAudit by the property owners, parcel 53 was first <br /> occupied in 1924 and was a residence until 1932. Between 1932 and 1936, the parcel was a <br /> occupied by a law office.
