Mr. Michael Infurna of
the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental
Health Division (PHS/EHD) was present to observe the measurements.
MW-4 was surveyed relative to MW-1 and a casing elevation was
• determined. Table 1 summarizes the results of the monitoring. No
groundwater samples were collected during this quarter.
Groundwater gradient and direction were calculated using monitoring
wells #1, #2 and #4 (MW-3 was improperly completed, and results
from this well should be used with caution) . The gradient was
calculated to be 0. 0020 ft/ft in a northeast direction (N 560 E) .
Similar calculations were performed using monitoring wells #1, #2
and #3 . The resulting gradient was 0. 0140 ft/ft in a northeast
direction (N 370 E) . While the gradient direction is similar in the
two calculations, the gradient is significantly greater using
monitoring wells #1, #2 and #3 . This discrepancy may be accounted
for by the improper completion of MW-3 .
Table 1
Groundwater Elevations
16 March 1993
Depth to Casing Groundwater
Well No. groundwater Elevation Elevation
1 49 . 17 10. 395 --38. 775
2 50.83 11.957 -38. 873
3 50. 64 10. 812 -39 . 828 A
•' 4 48 .87 10. 055 38. 815 1,
Environmental Services•Hydrogeology•Geotechnical Services
