Willis <br /> PO Box 1144 <br /> Sacramento, CA 95812 <br /> Subjects: Carando Machine Works <br /> 420 North Madison Street <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> of St ton Redevelopment Agency <br /> 423 Madison Street <br /> Sto to , alifornia 95202 <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has completed a file <br /> review for the above referenced sites and has the following comments. <br /> The EHD has received Record Fee Title Owner (RTO), dated 10 January 2014, submitted <br /> by your consulting firm, Treadwell & Rollo, Inc. The EHD has received verbal concurrence <br /> from Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) on a determination <br /> that "no further action is required" (closure) for the above referenced contaminated <br /> underground storage tank (UST) site. <br /> The EHD had directed the submittal of additional information for site closure consideration. <br /> As required by the LTCP, please notify "municipal and county water districts, water <br /> replenishment districts, special act districts with groundwater management authority, <br /> agencies with authority to issue building permits for land affected by the petroleum release, <br /> owners and occupants of the property impacted by the petroleum release, and the owners <br /> and occupants of all parcels adjacent to the impacted property" of the pending case closure <br /> and of their opportunity to submit comments or questions regarding the pending closure to <br /> this agency. Those to be notified include, but are not limited to: California Water Service <br /> Company in Stockton, City of Stockton Water District, San Joaquin County Public Water <br /> Utilities Maintenance, East Water District, Stockton Community Development Department <br /> and Stockton Public Works Department. Please submit a draft notice to the EHD to be <br /> issued to the public regarding the pending case closure with the 60-day comment period <br /> noted. A sample notice is included that covers many sites. The EHD will review the notice <br /> along with the list of agencies and owners/occupants who will receive the public participation <br /> letter. Once approved, you may have it sent to the appropriate parties. The public will have <br /> sixty days to comment. After appropriately addressing all comments received from the <br /> public, the EHD anticipates issuing a "No Further Action Required" letter. Comments should <br /> be directed to Angelica Sandoval Marin, San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department, 1868 East Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California 95205-6232. <br />
