cb Curtis &Tompkins Ltd <br /> ,; <br /> Laboratory Number 172885 Order Date 06/16/04 <br /> Client Treadwell & Rollo <br /> Protect Name SDHR-Carando <br /> CASE NARRATIVE ' <br /> This hardcopy data package contains sample results and batch QC results for one <br /> water and one soil sample received from the above referenced protect The samples <br /> were received cold and intact <br /> Total Volatile Hydrocarbons (TVH)/BTXE: The BTXE surrogate recoveries for <br /> sample CPT-EXC-W (172885-001) were above acceptance limits due to coelution of <br /> the surrogate peaks with hydrocarbon peaks <br /> The TVH bromofluorobenzene surrogate recovery for sample CPT-EXC-BT (172885- <br /> 002) was above acceptance limits due to coelution of the surrogate peak with , <br /> hydrocarbons peaks The associated trifluorotoluene surrogate recovery was <br /> acceptable, therefore, there is no affect on the quality of the sample results <br /> The continuing calibration standard (CCS) bracketing the BTXE laboratory control <br /> sample (LCS) was above acceptance limits for MTBE The LCS recoveries were <br /> acceptable for all target compounds and MTBE was not detected in the associated <br /> sample No other analytical problems were encountered <br /> Total Extractable Hydrocarbons: No analytical problems were encountered <br /> Metals: The matrix spike recoveries for lead were outside acceptance limits The ' <br /> associated blank spike recoveries were acceptable and the spiked sample was not from <br /> this site No other analytical problems were encountered <br />
