(AGE),the following scope of work is proposed for the
former underground storage tank(UST) areas at the above-referenced site:
• Approximatelyl50 cubic yards of hydrocarbon-impacted soil will be excavated from the former
UST No. I area. Soil will be excavated to an approximate depth of 18 feet below surface grade.
Upon completion of excavation, soil samples will be collected from the floor and sidewalls of
the excavation. The soil will most likely be transported off-site for disposal and "clean" fill
material imported for backfilling purposes.
• Two ground water extraction wells will be installed near the former UST No. 8 area. One well
will be installed using a 4-inch diameter PVC casing;the second well will be installed using a
2-inch diameter PVC casing.
• In-situ sparging wells IAS-1 and IAS-2 will be abandoned in accordance with San Joaquin
County Public Health Services -Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) guidelines.
• A limited(8-to 12-hour)ground water extraction test will be performed in the former UST No.
8 area to determine the feasibility of ground water"pump-and-treat".
• Ground water samples will be collected from wells MW-21A and MW-21B and submitted for
bioenumeration and physicochemical analysis.
The above work has been previously approved by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD).
In addition to the previously identified areas of hydrocarbon-impaction,during investigations at the site
in December 1999 and April 2000, impacted soil and ground water were encountered in an area near the
northwest corner of the property. A work plan addendum will be submitted to the PHS-EHD for the
following:
4005 North Wilson Way. Stockton, California 95205
Telephonc (209}467-1006 FAX(209)467-1118
