Treadwell &Rollo has been retained by the City of Stockton to coordinate the <br /> environmental issues at this, and three other sites within the North Shore Banner Island project <br /> currently being supervised by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD) in the underground storage tank program. The other three sites are': <br /> 1. 420 North Madison Street(Carando) ` <br /> 2. 424 North Van Buren Street (Chase West) <br /> 3. 404 West Fremont Street'(Crystal Creamery) " <br /> 3 <br /> Treadwell &Rollo and City of Stockton representatives met with you and Margaret Lagorio on <br /> 5 December 2003 and discussed the planned Banner Island Northshore re-development and how <br /> it will impact these four sites. <br /> it <br /> BACKGROUND AND CURRENT SITE.CONDITIONS <br /> The site was previously used as an auto repair facility and has two former UST locations where <br /> releases of petroleum hydrocarbons have occurred. Buildings exist at the site but are vacant, and <br /> are scheduled for demolition in January 2004. The site is mostly paved with some concrete slabs <br /> present, and is enrolled in the Underground Storage Tank cleanup fund. 1 <br /> The site currently has 16 groundwater monitoring wells and two groundwater extraction wells as <br /> shown on Figure 1.
