'Treadwell &Rollo has been retained by the City of Stockton to <br /> coordinate the environmental activities at this, and three other sites within the'''°North Shore <br />{ Banner Island project currently being supervised by the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (SJCEHD) in"the underground storage tank program. The-other three'sites <br /> are: <br /> 1. 420 North Madison Street (Carando) , <br /> 2. 424 North Van Buren Street (Chase West) <br /> 3. 404 West Fremont Street(Crystal Creamery). . <br /> Treadwell &Rollo and City of Stockton representatives met with you and Margaret Lagorio on , <br /> 5 December 2003 and discussed`the planned Banner Island Northshore redevelopment and how <br /> it will impact these four.sites. <br /> s, <br /> BACKGROUND AND CURRENT SITE CONDITIONS <br /> The Site was previously used as.an auto repair facility and has two former UST locations.where <br /> releases of petroleum hydrocarbons occurred. Buildings exist at the site but are vacant; and are <br /> scheduled for demolition in late January 2004. The Site is mostly:paved.with same concrete slabs <br /> present, and is enrolled in the California Underground Storage Tank Cleanup'Fund.- <br /> The Site currently has 16 groundwater monitoring wells and two unused groundwater extraction <br /> wells. A workplan detailing our;request to abandon many of these monitoring"wells has <br /> previously been submitted to you. The area of the Site with impacted groundwater is the former <br /> Tank No. 8 location located in the southern portion of the Site (Figure 1). There are seven <br /> Treadwell&Rollo,Inc.
