RESNA surveyed the wells
which were present on the site April 16, 1992 to the same arbitrary elevation of 12.85 feet for MW-1.
The 1995 casing elevations conflict with the 1992 casing elevations for monitoring wells #2,#4 and #5.
The survey data for monitoring well 8, installed May 31, 1992 and subsequently surveyed by RESNA
on a different day, also conflicts with the elevation assigned by Advanced GeoEnviron mental on
November 29, 1995.
PHS/EHD recommends that all groundwater elevation data be added as a spreadsheet column to the
table entitled Analytical Results of Groundwater Samples with a division between the two surveys.
PHS/EHD recommends that the next report include an explanation for the discrepancy between the
two surveys and an analysis of the effect of this discrepancy on evaluation of the plume.
2) Data Presentation
The report does not contain cross sections or fence diagrams. PHS/EHD recommends that the
Corrective Action Plan include illustrations of soil lithology, estimated extent and concentration
contours of soil and groundwater contamination, well construction details and an analysis of the
results of the feasibility study.
3) Tank 1 Waste Oil Storage
The extent of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination from this tank appears to have been defined.
Analysis of samples from GP-5, located in the middle of the former tank 1 excavation, for TPH-g and
BTEX indicate contamination present at 15 feet. Analytical results are non detectable for the 20 foot
sample in GP-5, and analytical results are non detectable for all samples from borings GP-6, 7 and 8.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
