SUMMARY/CONCLUSIONS <br /> Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes the following <br /> • Only low concentrations of TPH-d and xylenes were detected in MW-1, continuing the trend <br /> of decreasing hydrocarbon concentrations <br /> • Low concentrations of dissolved TPH-d were detected in six wells at the site <br /> • Petroleum hydrocarbons were not detected in samples collected from MW-8, MW-11 or , <br /> MW-12, located down-gradient and cross-gradient west of the former UST location Low <br /> concentration of TPH-d were detected in MW-18 and MW-13, located cross-gradient east <br /> and approximately 100 feet up-gradient of the former UST location <br /> • Four volatile organic compounds were detected by EPA Method 8260 Drinking water <br /> standards have not been established for the compounds detected Oxygenated volatile <br /> organics were not detected at the site <br /> • The dissolved hydrocarbon plume at the site does not appear to be migrating <br /> lie <br /> 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based upon data obtained during the November 1997 and previous sampling events, AGE <br /> recommends the following <br /> • implementation of a revised Corrective Action Plan (CAP)prepared by AGE on 28 February <br /> ' 1997 and approved by the PHS-EHD for the removal of hydrocarbon-impacted soil at the <br /> former locations of UST No 1 and allowing natural attenuation in the area of former UST <br /> " Nos 3-6 <br /> ' At the request of the PHS-EHD, further assessment was performed in the area of UST No <br /> 8 in December 1997 Procedures and findings will be presented in the Quarterly Report for <br /> the February 1998 monitoring event , <br /> • The next quarterly monitoring should be scheduled for February 1998, concurrent with <br /> monitoring at the Van Buren site <br /> ' 6.0.
