FINDINGS
Ground water elevation and flow direction were calculated from field data, hydrocarbon-impact to
ground water and soil was inferred from laboratory analysis of the ground water samples
1
31 STRATIGRAPHY
r
Generally, brown and mottled brown to grey, damp to moist, clayey silt and silty clay to clay were
encountered between five feet bsg and ten feet bsg At fifteen feet bsg, gray to brown, moist to very
' moist, silt with sand, silty sand and sandy silt were encountered Brown to gray, damp to moist, clay
to sandy clay was encountered between five feet and fifteen feet bsg in soil boring 15B-13 Gray to
brown, saturated, poorly graded sand was encountered at 20 feet in all borings and between 20 feet
and 37 feet bsg in soil boring 15B-10 Gray, very moist, silty clay was encountered between 37 feet
and 40 feet bsg Boring logs are included in Appendix A
r •
3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES
rTPH-g and TPH-d were detected in four of the m samples analyzed from soil probe boring 15B-10
TPH-g was detected at concentrations ranging from2,300 rrulligrams per kilogram(mg/kg)at 36 feet
r bsg to 8 0 mg/kg at 23 feet bsg TPH-d was detected at concentrations ranging from 2,100 mg/kg at
36 feet bsg to 3 1 mg/kg at 23 feet bsg Deeper samples at 37 feet bsg and 40 feet bsg in boring
15B-10 contained less than laboratory reporting limit concentrations of TPH-g and TPH-d The three
samples analyzed from soil probe boring 15B-12 contained concentrations of TPH-g and TPH-d
ranging from 320 mg/kg at 20 feet bsg to 1,900 mg/kg at 15 feet bsg for TPH-g and from 520 mg/kg
at 10 feet bsg to 5,700 mg/kg TPH-d at 15 feet bsg TPH-g and TPH-d were not detected in soil
' samples analyzed from 15B-11 and 15B-13
' TPH-mo was detected in one of the six samples analyzed from soil probe boring 15B-10 at a
concentration of 53 mg/kg at 36 feet bsg The three samples analyzed fromsoil probe boring 15B-12
contained concentrations of TPH-mo ranging from 80 mg/kg at 10 feet bsg to 2,100 mg/kg at 15 feet
' bsg TPH-mo was not detected in soil samples analyzed from 15B-11 and 15B-13
Toluene was detected in soil samples 15B-10-23 and 15B-12-10 at concentrations of 0 006 mg/kg
' and 0 64 mg/kg, respectively Ethylbenzene was detected in soil samples analyzed from soil borings
15B-10 and 15B-12 at concentrations ranging from 0 29 mg/kg to 2 6 mg/kg Xylenes were detected
• in sample ISB-12-10 at a concentration of 14 mg/kg
r
Advanced G¢o$nvironmenial,Inc
1
A ,
