Working To Restore Nature <br /> OBJECTIVES/WORKSCOPE AND METHODOLOGY <br /> ' The objectives of the workscope were to further investigate the downgradient lateral extent of <br /> groundwater contamination at the Madison Street property and to further investigate the lateral <br /> ' and vertical extent of soil contamination and the downgradient extent of groundwater <br /> contamination at the Van Buren Street property <br /> 1 <br /> Workscope <br /> iTo accomplish these objectives, RESNA conducted the following workscope <br /> O Installed one monitoring well north and downgradient of the former tank pit location on <br /> the Madison Street Property to further define the extent of groundwater contamination <br /> ' (Figure 2), <br /> o Installed one monitoring well north of the former tank location at the Van Buren Street <br /> ' Property to further define the downgradient extent of groundwater contamination and <br /> confirm the gradient magnitude and direction (Figure 2), <br /> ' o Collected two soil samples for analysis from each well, one of which was collected from <br /> I <br /> ' the capillary fringe soils located approximately 26 feet below surface grade Analyzed <br /> the collected samples for BTEX and TPHg The samples from the Madison St site were <br /> also analyzed for TPHd and halogenated volatile organics (HVOs), <br /> o Surveyed, developed and sampled the new wells, analyzing the collected groundwater <br /> samples for BTEX and TPHg The water sample from the Madison St site was also <br /> ' analyzed for TPHd and HVOs, <br /> 15W701RMRTSZR-06%FNL 6 <br /> I 1 <br />
