Working To Restore Nature
OBJECTIVES/WORKSCOPE AND METHODOLOGY
' The objectives of the workscope were to further investigate the downgradient lateral extent of
groundwater contamination at the Madison Street property and to further investigate the lateral
' and vertical extent of soil contamination and the downgradient extent of groundwater
contamination at the Van Buren Street property
1
Workscope
iTo accomplish these objectives, RESNA conducted the following workscope
O Installed one monitoring well north and downgradient of the former tank pit location on
the Madison Street Property to further define the extent of groundwater contamination
' (Figure 2),
o Installed one monitoring well north of the former tank location at the Van Buren Street
' Property to further define the downgradient extent of groundwater contamination and
confirm the gradient magnitude and direction (Figure 2),
' o Collected two soil samples for analysis from each well, one of which was collected from
I
' the capillary fringe soils located approximately 26 feet below surface grade Analyzed
the collected samples for BTEX and TPHg The samples from the Madison St site were
also analyzed for TPHd and halogenated volatile organics (HVOs),
o Surveyed, developed and sampled the new wells, analyzing the collected groundwater
samples for BTEX and TPHg The water sample from the Madison St site was also
' analyzed for TPHd and HVOs,
15W701RMRTSZR-06%FNL 6
I 1
