INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Jeffrey Setness of Hartmann & Setness, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for 423 North <br /> Madison Street Stockton California The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 -Location <br /> Map The layout of existing structures and the locations,of monitoring wells are illustrated in Figure <br /> 2 <br /> Site Plan ? ; <br /> J <br /> The scope of work-was to evaluate the feasibility and compare the estimated costs of several <br /> remedial action alternatives for hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water at the site The CAP <br /> was prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water,' <br /> Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites <br /> M 2 0. ` � BACKGROUND ; <br /> I <br /> 2 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> ' t <br /> The site occupies the city block bounded by West Fremont Street, North Madison Street, West <br /> Lindsay Street and North Monioe Street Two large buildings and a parking cover are located on the <br /> site, which was used as the location of the service;center of Chase Chevrolet until 1994 (Figure 2 - <br /> Site Plan) <br /> 22 REMOVAL OF UNDERGRQUND,STORAGE TANKS <br /> n <br /> In May 1986, four USTs,,Tanks No 3,4, 5 & 6, were removed by Falcon Energy Associates (FEA) <br /> from a common excavation north of the repair shop`UST No 3 was a 2,000-gallon gasoline tank, <br /> ' UST No 4 was a 2,000-gallon motor oil tank,UST No 5 was a 2,000-gallon transmission fluid tank, <br /> UST No 6 was a 5,000-gallon gasoline tank Hydrocarbon-impacted soil was encountered during <br /> the tank removal <br /> r I � <br /> In November 1992,three additional USTs,Tanks No 1,2& 8,were removed by FEA from separate <br /> ' excavations located west, east and south of the repair shop, respectively UST No 1 was a 250- <br /> gallon waste oil tank, UST No 2 was a 1,000-gallon waste oil tank, UST No 8 was a 1,000-gallon <br /> ` trichloroethane (TCA) solvent tank All three tanks were reported to be in poor condition <br />
