Emerson Road
Acampo, CA 95220
Subject: Former Parmar Texaco LOP Site Code: 1324
521 N. Cherokee Lane
Lodi, CA 95240
On August 4, 2011, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) made a
tentative approval of the Corrective Action Plan (CAP), dated April 9, 2011, and prepared by
your consultant Stephen G. Muir Consulting Geologist and Geophysicist (Muir). In the CAP,
Muir recommends soil vapor extraction/ in-situ air sparing (SVE/IAS) to remediate soil and
ground water contamination caused by the unauthorized release from the former on-site
underground storage tanks (USTs). The SVE/IAS will utilize existing on-site remediation wells.
The required public participation period for the CAP has been completed. No comments were
received by the EHD from the public during the required period. The CAP approval is
considered final and it should be implemented as soon as possible.
Please provide the EHD with a work plan (i.e. design, engineering, time schedule) for the
proposed SVE/IAS system installation and operation. You are required to obtain all necessary
regulatory permits for construction and operation of the SVE/IAS system prior to beginning any
work.
An initial remediation report must be submitted to the EHD and GeoTracker within 90 days of
continuous SVE/IAS system operation and semi-annually reporting thereafter.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please contact Harlin Knoll at (209)
468-3442.
X_ -
Harlin Knoll, REHS Nuel C.
