Cherokee Lane, Lodi, has been approved by San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD). The plan is a proposal to perform soil vapor
extraction and in-situ ground water air sparging to remediate the soil and the ground
water which has been contaminated due to unauthorized releases from the USTs which
were located on the property.
EHD has made a tentative determination that the plan is in compliance with California
Health & Safety Code Chapter 6.7, Section 25299.37 and California Code of
Regulations Corrective Action Requirements, and that the resultant work will not create
significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the benefits to be gained from
cleanup of the contamination.
The remediation plan is available for public review at: EHD, 600 E. Main Street,
Stockton, during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and on the State
Water Resources Board Control GeoTracker website. If no comments are
received by September 5, 2011, the CAP will be implemented.
Questions regarding the specific site concerns or procedures should be directed to
Harlin Knoll, Senior REHS, at (209) 468-3442 or sent in writing to him at EHD, 600 E.
Main Street, Stockton, CA 95202.
