Please
be advised that it is the responsibility of the listed responsible parties to investigate and mitigate the effects
of the release of petroleum from the underground storage tanks formerly located at this site. Failure to
comply with the directives from this office may result in formal enforcement action.
The review of the files has revealed that no progress has been made at this site since November of 1991 when
the extraction of free product from the monitoring wells at the site ceased. Free petroleum product on the
water table is considered to be an extremely hazardous condition and a serious threat to both public health
and the environment. A workplan for free product removal must be submitted immediately if this condition
still exists at this site.
Assessment work at this site still needs to be completed. Additional soil borings/monitoring wells must be
installed until the full extent of the soil and groundwater contaminant plumes are determined. Please submit
a workplan to investigate the full extent of the soil and groundwater contaminant plumes by August 23, 1993.
In addition, quarterly reports, as required by Section 2652(d) of the Underground Storage Tank Regulations
(California Code of Regulations, Chapter 16),have not been submitted to this agency. The report is to show
the:
-status of investigation and cleanup activities including the results of all investigations
completed to date;
-proposed continuing or next phase of investigation;
-method of cleanup proposed or implemented, schedules for the completion of the
investigation of the site and remediation;
-method and location of disposal of the released hazardous substance and any contaminated
soil, groundwater or surface water;
.1 Division of San Joaquin Counh Hra (,r xmcm 10
