San Joaquin Street ,yP
Stockton, CA 95202 JAN 14 1992
Subject: Quarterly Report, Lerner Service Station ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
521 N. Cherokee Lane PERMIT/SERVICES
Lodi, CA 95202
Dear Mr. Schneider:
Mr. James Hoblitzell of Falcon Energy gave legal deposition on 8
January 1992 to update the court on the recent
assessment/remediation activities at the referenced site, and the
purpose of this letter is to similarly inform you on the current
status of the project.
Approximately 2000 gallons of total fluid have been withdrawn from
monitoring wells 1 and 2 since the pumping/storage system was
installed in October 1991. The pumps were shut down in early
November, and remain shut down at the present time because the
accounts are presently in arrears and no further work has been
authorized by the clients.
Geological Audit Services is awaiting authorization from the
clients to institute a quarterly monitoring program for this site.
It is our intention to measure water levels in all three monitoring
wells, determine whether free product remains, recalculate the
groundwater gradient, and collect water samples for laboratory
analysis. This work could be done as soon as the accounts have been
brought current and we have received authorization to proceed.
We are aware that additional soil borings dnd water monitoring
wells will be required to completely define the lateral extents of
soil and groundwater contamination. At this time, however, the
clients have not requested Falcon Energy or Geological Audit to
submit a bid for additional drilling.
If you have any questions, please contact either Jim Hoblitzell at
Falcon or myself.
Sincerely,
GEO CALAUDIT SERVICES, INC.
_
Victor B.
