17 P,9 f. 55
13 March 1994
Ms. Linda Turkette
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Department
P.O.Box 2009
Stockton, CA
Re: Groundwater Assessment
521 North Cherokee Lane, Lodi, California
Site Code: 1324
Dear Ms. Turkette:
I have been retained to further assess the extent of soil and groundwater contamination at the
above address. Attached is a work plan which provides the site background as I understand
it and a scope of work to begin the assessment.
In summary, I propose to use cone penetration testing (CPT) coupled with hydropunch and
soil testing at selected locations. An interim report will convey the results and the proposed
locations for monitor wells and at least one soil boring. Upon your approval of the
locations, the bonng(s)/wells will be installed and sampled. A final report will summarize
both the CPT investigation and the follow-up evaluation. Procurement of the encroachment
permit and access agreements will begin shortly after your approval of this workplan. CPT
may not be used if either site specific conditions preclude its use or SB2004 refuses to fund
its use. The former we will not know until we have tried. The later we should know soon.
I will contact you to discuss field dates once I have received the appropriate clearances.
I appreciate your assistance with this project If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to leave a message for me at (916) 666-9315.
S
Y,
Dana W.
