I <br />' 2.0 SITE BACKGROUND SUMMARY <br /> Figures 1 and 2 depict the regional location of the former Parmar Texaco site The site is <br /> located in the San Joaquin Raver Hydrologic Region as mapped by the California Department of <br /> Water Resources(DWR) (Figure 1)and specifically within the Eastern San Joaquin Subbasm as <br /> depicted on Figure 2 The Eastern San Joaquin Subbasm is approximately 700,000 acres in <br />' extent and contains the cities of Stockton,Lodi, Lockeford and other communities <br /> Groundwater in this region is very important to both municipal, individual homeowner and <br /> industrial water supplies <br /> The former Parmar Texaco site is located within the city limits of Lodi (Figure 3) within <br /> northern San Joaquin County Figure 4 is a topographic map of the site which shows the <br />' relationship of the site to the Mokelumne River, a major factor in groundwater now direction <br /> and water quality. <br />' The site is located in the service area of the City of Lodi Department of Public Works which <br /> provides the entire municipal water supply from groundwater wells The site is also immediately <br /> adjacent to the service area for the North San Joaquin Water Conservation District which is in <br />' the process of preparing an initial groundwater basin management plan <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />' n7a,nlDlEnn�onmmrallPmm�TexacolK QNIIco9a005 %Td 3 <br />
