i2.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 2.1 Project History <br /> The former Parmar Texaco Site(Site) is located in northern San Joaquin County,California(Figures 1 and <br /> 2) and at a street address of 521 North Cherokee Lane in the city of Lodi The site is located at the <br /> northwest corner of Cherokee Lane and Murray Street (Figure 3 ) The rectangular property is <br /> approximately 150 feet by 160 feet in area, and includes a steel building and canopy where former <br /> underground storage tanks(USTs)and associated gasoline dispensers were located (Figure 4) The building <br /> is currently used as a tire repair shop and is owned by Mr Jose Garcia <br /> The property is identified as San Joaquin County Assessors Parcel Number APN 041-274-56 and is located <br /> within the west central portion of Section 1,Township 3 North,Range 6 East,Mount Diablo Baseline and <br /> Meridian(Figure 3) <br /> Historical Site Summagy <br /> Six former USTs and two dispenser islands were located at property when it was operating as a service <br /> station from approximately 1950 to 1983 The last time the site was operated as a service station was pre- <br /> 1986 when it was known as Lerner Texaco and/or Parmar Texaco After about 1983 the site has reportedly <br /> been used mainly as an automotive repair shop or tire repair store with no fuel sales occurring The site has <br /> also been known as J&A Auto Repair and Corona's Fixm Tires <br /> The site has had an unclear history of UST operatorship Apparently one of the last UST operators was <br /> Ramos Oil Company(RAMCON) Immediately prior to the UST removals in 1988 the property was owned <br /> by Mr and Mrs Carl Yearmg(now deceased)and had been operated by a tenant or lessee doing business <br /> under the operating name of Parmar Texaco The last known operator of fuel sales at the site was Ramos <br /> Oil Company <br />.
