Box 599o <br /> a � <br /> J 1 a cO <br /> Lodi , California 95241 U � aN <br /> 02 <br /> Attention: Mr. Bob Whitemore y < ¢ <br /> Subject: TANK EXCAVATION SOIL SAMPLE <br /> Dear Mr. Whitemore: <br /> Enclosed are the results of the soil sample (S-001) <br /> chemically analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons by GC-FID <br /> and volatile aromatic compounds (benzene, toluene , xylene) by EPA <br /> Method 8020 . <br /> The soil sample was SAND - brown, slightly moist , fine <br /> grained, trace coarse grained sand, trace silt , trace fine <br /> gravel , loose. The sample was collected on October 29 , 1986 from <br /> the bottom of a tank excavation at a depth of nine feet. It is <br /> our understanding that five months earlier, a 500 gallon fuel <br /> storage tank had been removed from this location. The sample <br /> location and chemical analysis was requested by Mr. Dan Moe of <br /> the San Joaquin Local Health District. <br /> The concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons and <br /> volatile aromatic compounds are below detectable limits in soil <br /> sample S-001 as shown on the attached laboratory results. <br /> If you have any questions regarding the analytical results or <br /> need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us <br /> at (916 ) 366-1701.
