Mr Nathan Crum - 2 - 19 August 2008
Valley Pacific Petroleum Services
there is not enough recent information to conclusively establish that TPHd is absent from
the eastern part of the Site. In addition, laboratory analytical results showed that separate
phase product samples obtained from three wells (MW-6R, MW-8, and MW-9) consisted of
high sulfur diesel similar to the type used in California prior to 1993. All soil and
groundwater samples submitted for laboratory analysis during this investigation must
undergo analysis for TPHd as well as TPHg.
We concur with the Work Plan Addendum provided that Valley Pacific will conduct the
investigation in accordance with the comment above. By 1 November 2008, Valley Pacific must
submit a report describing the results of the investigation.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, you may contact me at (916) 464-4811 or
betayior@waterboard-,5ca.gov.
BRIAN TAYLOR, P.G.
Engineering Geologist
CU Mr. Harlin Knoll, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, Stockton
Mr. Gregory Stahl, Ground Zero Analysis, Inc., Escalon
Mr. Patrick Riddle, Law Offices of Patrick D.
