Soil and grab water samples were collected for <br /> laboratory analyses. The interim investigation report of this work has not been received by San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) to date. Submit the <br /> interim investigation report of this work to PHS/EHD by May 31, 1999. <br /> PHS/EHD has reviewed the"Over-Excavation Work Plan" dated April 19, 1999 prepared by Cambria <br /> and has the following comments: <br /> • Sufficient sidewall and bottom of the excavation soil samples should be collected for <br /> laboratory analyses in order to evaluate further investigation requirements. <br /> • Collection and analysis of additional soil samples may be required for significantly <br /> different lichological lifts. Selection of soil samples collected for laboratory analyses must <br /> include PHS/EHD comment and agreement. <br /> • Any stockpile of excavated soil that may used to fill the excavation should be sampled at a <br /> ratio of one sample per 50 cubic yards of stockpile and these discrete samples should be <br /> analyzed at the laboratory. <br /> • Submit a copy of the compaction report of the backfilling of the excavation as required by <br /> the City of Lodi within 30 days of project completion in accordance to Uniform Building <br /> Code Appendix Chapter 70. <br /> • Include the protocol for obtaining the soil samples discussed in the work plan. <br /> • Schedule work with PHS/EHD at least 48 hours in advance.
