,* CAMBRIA
was detected in the sample collected at 61-64 fbg at 280 ppb No other fuel oxygenates or lead
scavengers were detected in any of the other samples from this boring
Samples were collected at or near first encountered groundwater from borings CPT-3 through
CPT-6 at depths ranging from 50-53 to 58-62 fbg TPHg was detected in the sample collected
from CPT-5 at 4,100 ppb Benzene was not detected in any of the samples MTBE was detected
in each of the samples at concentrations ranging from 8 8 to 390,000 ppb, with the highest
concentration in CPT-5 TAME was detected to the samples collected from CPT-3 and CPT-5 at
3 2 and 1,400 ppb, respectively, and TBA was detected in CPT-3 and CPT-5 at 170 and 59,000
ppb, respectively CPT-5 also contained 24 ppb ETBE No other fuel oxygenates or lead
scavengers were detected in any of the other samples from these borings
Groundwater data are summarized in Table 3 and TPHg, benzene, and MTBE results are
presented on Figure 3 The certified analytical reports for the water samples are presented in
Appendix C
SITE CONCEPTUAL MODEL
Cambria completed a site conceptual model for this site and included it as Appendix D
CONCLUSIONS
Borings CPT-1 and CPT-2 were drilled south of the USTs to delineate the vertical extent of
petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates detected in soil Soil samples were collected to
depths of 100 fbg No petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in the soil samples MTBE was
detected at 3 5 ppm at 62 fbg in CPT-1 Deeper samples did not contain MTBE No other fuel
oxygenates were detected in soil from these borings Therefore, the vertical extent of petroleum
hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates in soil near the USTs is defined
Groundwater samples were collected from boring CPT-1, near the USTs, and from borings
CPT-2 through CPT-6, to assess the lateral impact to groundwater TPHg was detected in
borings CPT-2 and CPT-5, but benzene was not detected in groundwater from any of the borings
MTBE was detected in groundwater from all the borings The highest concentrations were
detected in borings CPT-5 and CPT-1, and the lowest concentrations were detected in CPT4 and
CPT-6 Concentrations appear to be highest in the shallow groundwater samples
0955 6
