Response& Cleanup <br /> 40 CFR 112.7(a)(3)(iv) <br /> In the event of a discharge of oil products FXI, Inc.'s management shall be notified_ All <br /> employees on duty will be trained to attempt to stop and minimize the continuation of any <br /> discharge. Valves not closed will be closed and secured; pumps will be turned off and/or isolated <br /> to secure the discharge. Specific facility personnel are and shall continue to remain trained to <br /> respond to small spills at the facility. Absorbent materials shall be used to contain and dispose of <br /> the oil products that are discharged. Any discharge or spill will be monitored by FXI, Inc.'s <br /> management to ensure that safety is addressed and that all waste is contained, transported and <br /> disposed of in a proper manner.The 92 Diesel fuel tank is maintained outside and is a UL Certified <br /> double wall tank with a containment structure capable of holding any oil product release from the <br /> tank. The motor& Used oils are stored inside the shop next the west wall. Both tanks are 275 <br /> Gallon single wall tanks and the shop flooring and walls provide containment for any product <br /> release. Complete failure of the oil product system would be contained within the shop <br /> containment structure.No release is capable of reaching navigable waterways. <br /> All appropriate Emergency Agencies,as required,will be notified.See 40 CFR I12.7(a)(5) <br /> page 21, for a detailed procedure.For any spill FXI, Inc. will report the discharge to the Regional <br /> Authority- San Joaquin County Public Health Services Department at(209)468-3420, local fire <br /> department at 911, NRC at 1-800-424-8802 and Cal DES at 916-845-8911. The SPCC reporting <br /> form is retained in Appendix F, page 44. <br /> Methods of Disposal of Recovered Materials 40 CFR 112.7(a)(3)(v) <br /> If the discharged oil product is contained within the containment area by facility personnel, <br /> the recovered material will be stored in drums or other appropriate containers for the product.Any <br /> waste generated from the discharge will be disposed of in a safe and proper manner within the <br /> required regulated time limits.No disposal material will be allowed to be stored on site or removed <br /> without the written approval of FXI,Inc.'s management. All transported hazardous waste shall be <br /> manifested and transported by a California registered service and sent to an appropriate site. <br /> Documentation of removal and disposal will remain on site and available for inspection. <br /> George W. Lowry, Inc. will be the site's Environmental Remediation Contractor. If the <br /> discharge requires the use of another outside environmental remediation contractor will be <br /> contacted for the proper disposal of the recovered materials. FXI, Inc.'s management will ensure <br /> that the contractor utilizes proper procedures, ensures that safety is addressed and that all waste is <br /> contained, accounted for transported and disposed of in a proper manner. <br /> —*Gary Reeves, 11-LC is <br />
