' 16 October 2014
AGE Project No. 13-2675
' GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY
Based on the historical information reviewed, AGE recommended conducting a
' geophysical survey at the site, specifically in the locations of the former potential in-
ground petroleum tanks and former dry-cleaning facility.
' On 07 October 2014, a geophysical survey was performed at the site using ground
penetrating radar (GPR). During the survey, GPR did not identify the presence of a UST
or the location of a potential former tank pit area at the site.
FINDINGS
Based on soil samples collected from boring B7, light brown to dark brown, dry, silty fine
sand was encountered at 5 feet bsg; light brown to dark gray, dry, fine sandy silt was
' encountered at 10 feet and 15 feet bsg; and gray and reddish brown to brown, damp to
moist, silty clay was encountered between 20 feet and 35 feet bsg.
Hydrocarbon odors were not observed in the soil samples collected from boring B7; and
utilizing the OVM, organic vapors were not detected in soil samples collected from B7. A
boring log summarizing stratigraphy and OVM detections from B7 is presented in
' Appendix A.
No soil samples were submitted for laboratory analysis; analytical results of soil
' samples collected during the previous investigation in October 2013 are summarized in
Table 1.
' No analytes were detected above laboratory reporting limits in the groundwater sample
collected from boring B7. Analytical results of groundwater samples collected during the
' October 2013 and October 2014 investigations are summarized in Table 2. The
laboratory reports (CTEL Project No. 1410022), QA/QC reports, and chain of custody
forms are included In Appendix B.
One soil-vapor sample (134-Vapor) was collected in the location of the former dry
cleaning facility, one soil-vapor sample (135-Vapor) was collected in the location of the
former potential in-ground petroleum tanks, and one soil-vapor sample (B6-Vapor) was
collected adjacent to the east side of the existing building at the site. The following is a
summary of findings:
' TPH-g were detected in samples B5-VaRor and B6-Vapor at concentrations of
1,800 micrograms per cubic meter (pg/m ) and 4,700 pg/m3, respectively; TPH-g
were not detected above the laboratory reporting limit in sample 134-Vapor.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
