1 <br /> 1 <br /> 1, 6 <br /> CLOSURE REQUEST REPORT <br /> BJJ Trucking <br /> 757 E 11th Street <br /> Tracy, CA <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE <br /> Smith Environmental Technologies Corporation has prepared this report on behalf of BJJ <br /> Trucking (BJJ) to present the information required for site closure review This report is being <br /> submitted to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br />' (PHS/EHD) and the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region <br /> (RWQCB) to satisfy the closure review requirements, as outlined by RWQCB correspondence <br /> ' dated October 7, 1993 (Addition to Appendix A of the Tri-Regional Recommendations) <br /> 2.0 HYDROGEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> The subject site is located at 757 E 11th Street in Tracy, California (Figure 1), near the <br /> intersection of MacArthur Drive The site is situated at an approximate elevation of 47 feet above <br /> mean sea level, in the Great Valley geologic province Local surface sediments consist generally <br /> of clayey silt and some silty clay Soil encountered on-site during the investigative history of the <br /> site consisted of lean and fat clays, silt, and clayey to poorly graded sand <br /> The site lies within the San Joaquin Valley groundwater basin, as defined by the California <br /> Department of Water Resources (1975) <br /> Dunn the period of investigation the depth to groundwater at the site has ranged from 6 91 feet <br /> During P g p <br /> (MW-3, July 1991) to 8 36 feet (MW-2, January 1992) below ground surface (bgs) (Table 2) <br /> When groundwater levels were last measured on January 5, 1994 the depth to water ranged from <br /> 7 35 feet bgs (MW-3) to 7 48 feet bgs (MW-2) The direction of groundwater flow under the site <br /> has been assumed to be north to northwest based on groundwater gradients at nearby sites <br /> (Figure 4, Appendix V) <br /> w 1967311reporu\C1osurc doe 1 <br /> I <br /> SMTH <br />
