Vi j <br /> Working To Restore Nature <br /> C+ IN <br /> 1710 Main Street <br /> Escalon, CA 95320 <br /> Phone (209) 838-3507 May 25, 1993 <br /> FAX (209) 838-3509 <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P Q Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> RE Quarterly Monitoring Report BJJ Trucking, Heinz Facility, 757 East Eleventh <br /> Street, Tracy, CA <br /> Dear Mr Knoll <br /> 40} During the second quarter 1993, quarterly monitoring and sampling were performed at the above <br /> referenced site (Figure 1) Activities were conducted on April 27, 1993, and included measuring <br /> depth to water, purging the wells, and collecting groundwater samples from wells MW2 and <br /> MW3 <br /> Groundwater levels were monitored on April 27, 1993 Water levels have dropped <br /> approximately 0 09 feet since the previous quarterly monitoring event in January 1993 (Table <br /> 1) The gradient cannot be calLulated specifically for this site because only two well-, are <br /> accessible Monitoring well MW 1 was previously inadvertently destroyed during paving <br /> activities However, RESNA fnduso les has current monitoring data from the uppermost <br /> saturated zone at two Tracy sites within a one-mile radius of the subject site <br /> The local groundwater gradient can be established using April 1993 monitoring data from 8181 <br /> Eleventh Street (Genstar Western Stone) and 6700 Grantline Road (J B Terminal) The site <br /> locations and gradient directions relative to the subject site are shown on Figure 3 The most <br /> recent groundwater gradient snap and monitoring data for each site are included in Attachment <br /> 1 Groundwater flow is essentially in a northerly direction There are no known Surface or <br /> subsurface Occurrences at the BJ I Trucking facility which would exert a significant influence on <br /> the direction of groundwater glow Therttoie, even though the direction of flaw cannot be <br /> 2QR1993]Ni <br /> 4• <br />
