Working To Restore Nature <br /> 1710 Main Street R 12 C RE I avo PE Ev) <br /> Escalon, CA 95320 �A� t �3 <br /> Phone (209) 838-3507 <br /> FAX (209) 838-3509 ENVIRONMEATAL HEALTH March 1, 1993 <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> RE Sampling of the Stockpiled Soil at BJJ Heinz, 2431 East Mariposa Road, <br /> Stockton, California S +� <br /> Dear Mr Knoll 7!�-7 i <br /> 7 <br /> Zt <br /> RESNA Industries, Inc (RESNA), on behalf of BJJ Trucking, sampled the stockpiled soil at the <br /> above referenced property This stockpiled soil originated from excavation activities conducted <br /> at BJJ Tracy, 757 E 1 lth Street, Tracy, California The soil pile has been under treatment by <br /> the site owner since the fall of 1991 The biotreatment system which was specifically designed <br /> to meet the needs of these soils utilizes the addition of fertilizer and water and the tilling of the <br /> soil RESNA collected one 4-sleeve composite soil sample for each 100 cubic yards The total <br /> volume of soil stockpiled at the site is approximately 1000 cubic yards, therefore, ten composite <br /> samples were collected from the pile The soil samples were analyzed by RESNA <br /> Environmental Laboratories (State Cert No 1211) for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel <br /> (TPHD) by EPA method 8020 <br /> Analysis of stockpiled soils did indicate very low levels of petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel <br /> (TPHD) are still present in the soils The highest result for TPHD was 2 7 parts per million <br /> Table 1 presents the analytical data Chain of custody documentation and laboratory data sheets <br /> are included in Attachment 1 <br /> All site work was conducted in accordance with RESNA's Quality Assurance/Quality Control <br /> Plan and the site specific Health and Safety Plan (Remedial Action Plan for the Hydrocarbon- <br /> Bearing Soil Pile, August 12, 1991) <br /> r� <br /> LFTTERSIL-022293 FNL <br /> 04 <br />
