Mr Harlin Knoll Environmental <br /> 14 July 2000 Resources <br /> Page 2 Management <br /> ERM reviewed the well records to determine the location of wells within <br /> 2,000 feet of the former tank sites These locations were then plotted on <br /> Figure 1 (the black circles indicate the 2,000-foot radius around each <br /> former tank location) As shown, only 6 well locations were identified <br /> within 2,000 feet of the former tank sites These locations include <br /> e A municipal well owned by the West Side Irrigation District, <br /> ® An industrial well owned by Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E), <br /> and <br /> 0 4 municipal wells owned by the City of Tracy <br /> The West Side Irrigation District Well: As shown in Figure 1, this well is <br /> located cross-gradient (southeast) of the former tank sites ERM spoke <br /> with Barbara Kleinart with the West Side Irrigation District regarding <br /> this well Ms KIeinart stated that the well may still exist, but that all <br /> pumps had been removed and that the well had not been used in a long <br /> time She also indicated that it was not intended for use in the future <br /> I <br /> PG&E Well: As shown in Figure 1, the PG&E well is located <br /> downgradient (north) of the former tank sites ERM spoke with Mr Bill <br /> Rogers with PG&E to determine if this well was still in use Mr Rogers <br /> stated that the well was not in use He stated that the water supply for <br /> the PG&E facility was from the City of Tracy He stated that the well <br /> may still exist, but if so, it has not been used in a long time and that it <br /> was not intended for use in the future <br /> City of Tracy Wells: Three of the City of Tracy wells are located cross- <br /> gradient (northwest) of the former UST sites as shown in Figure 1 A <br /> fourth City well is located upgradient (southwest) of the former tank <br /> sites ERM spoke with Mr Steve Berlin with the City of Tracy Public <br /> Works Department to determine if these wells are still in use He stated <br /> that there are only two active City wells located near the former Heinz <br /> site These two wells are known as the Wainwright well and the Lincoln <br /> well <br /> The Wainwright well is the City well located southwest of the site within <br /> . 2,000 feet (see Figure 1) The Lincoln well is located west of the site and <br /> is not within 2,000 feet, as shown in Figure 1 He stated that the other <br /> wells identified by ERM to be within 2,000 feet of the site are not in use <br /> and have likely been abandoned, however, the County would have the <br />
