Nuel called Bill
Little and Bill is to provide information to Nuel concerning the additional proposed ozone sparging points. Once
Nuel has received this information,-I will respond by letter concerning the three additionalproposed ozone Welis.
i
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
{ Environmental Health Department
i 600 East Main Street
JStockton, California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vmccartnev a)sicehd.com.
E
From: Ally Colavita [mailto:acolavita@advgeoenv.com]
Sent: Friday, February 29, 2008 3:26 PM '
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: 'bill; Art ; Robert Marty
Subject: Stefano's Gas (141.9 East Charter Way, Stkn)
Hi Vicki---
wanted to inform you that t am the new project manager for.the site Stefano's Gas (1419 East Charter
Way, Stkn). In.addition,. I wanted to respond to the END-prepared letter dated 02 January 2008.
-AGE concurs with the EHD's recommendation to relocate the CPT boring approximately twelve feet south
i of the location proposed in the AGE-prepared Work Plan Addendum dated 19 November 2007.
AGE provides the following comments to the EHD-questions/statements:
"How many pounds of ozone are currently being injected dail
Y?'
According to the manufacturer; Aries Tek, the ozone sparge.system at Stefano's (EnviroSparge 11), s
r injects one pound of ozone into the subsurface per day; however this figure does not account for
downtime between cycles. The EnviroSparge 11 injects ozone into ozone wells at a rate of 130
minutes per well per cycle. At the cessation of a cycle; the.EnviroSparge II has a downtime of 20
minutes. Utilizing the existing three ozone wells at the site, 390 minutes of the cycle is attributed to
i injecting ozone into each well at increments of 130.minutes. Fallowing the 390-minute cycle, the
system has a downtime of 20 minutes. Therefore, the system completes approximately 3.5 cycles -
per day with an approximate average downtime of,70'.minutes per day. Accounting for downtime,
the EnviroSparge 11 injects approximately 0.95 pounds of ozone into the.subsurface per day_
i
t
3/3/2008.
. t
