Response to PHS EHD Comments Letter Dated September 10, 2003
Extraction Well and Monitoring Probe Details
Wright has prepared the anticipated construction details forthe wells
and probes
attached as Figure 1. The wells and probes would be installed
undaccess agreements and PHS EHD permits. The undersigned CEG has reviewed the
above workplan and attached well details specificati6r1s.
Well and Probe Locations
The two extraction wells and three vapor probes are anticipated to be installed in
individually drilled hollowstem boreholes (clustered not in a nested installation) on
the downgradient side of the site. The probes positions may be adjusted due to
utilities and the very small size of the site, r as well as to allow the interpreted best
locations for collecting data.
Measuring Gauge Installation
Magnahelix gauges will be installed on each well and probe wellhead and sealed to
prevent leakage during testing and pressure readings. The gauges will be adjusted
as needed by the engineer for the work.
Well Installation
Wright will schedule the well installation to commence by October 18, 2003.
I If you have any questions, please call.
Sincerely, E D
Wright Environmental Services, Inc.
aR GAO
'°q l
L t l 19262
CERMED
.John Lynch Christopher M.
