3.0 CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND PROJECT STATUS <br /> Between May 6 and July 29, 2002, the groundwater surface dropped an average of 1 20 feet, the <br /> groundwater gradient decreased from 0 0031 to 0 0023 foottfoot, and the groundwater flow <br />' direction remained relatively constant <br />' Between May 6 and July 29, 2002, free product appeared in MW-2 for the first time The plume of <br /> impacted groundwater at the water table appears to be defined and stable <br /> On the basis of CPT and discrete groundwater sampling results, the extent of impacted <br /> groundwater below the water table remains undefined As such, on April 8, 2002, Ramage <br />' Environmental recommended that a work plan be submitted, to further investigate the vertical and <br /> lateral extent of impacted groundwater beneath the water table, and to test the feasibility of soil <br /> and groundwater remedial options Currently, the preparation of this work plan is pending <br />' regulatory directive <br /> In addition, the well network should continue to be monitored and sampled on a quarterly basis <br /> The next monitoring event is scheduled for October 2002 <br /> 1 <br /> 9 <br />
