L <br /> Interim+ Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Report <br /> Former STEFANO'S GAS STATION <br /> 1419 East Charter Way, Stockton, Cahfornia , <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mrs Winifred Alexander, executor of Mary Gardella Trust, Advanced <br />' V GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this report for the property located at 1419 East Charter <br /> Way, Stockton,California The report documents the procedures and results of an interim soil vapor <br /> extraction pilot test The site and the surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1, on-site structures <br />' and well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Site background information,including the site history, <br /> and descriptions and results of previous investigations are detailed in the AGE-prepared Well <br />' Installation and Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Report, dated 30 August 2004 <br /> ,All'field work procedures and reporting requirements are in accordance with guidelines issued by <br /> the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)fotr subsurface investigation <br />' of underground storage tank(UST)system sites Interim soil vapor extraction and ozone pilot study <br /> procedures for the site were described in the AGE-prepared Interim Remediation Work Plan dated <br />' 14 September 2004, and approved by EHD by letter dated 26 October 2004 <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> 19 1 <br /> Between 02 November 2004 and 03 June 2005, an SVE remediation system was continuously <br />' operated at the site,utilizing a regenerative vacuum blower to selectively apply an induced vacuum <br /> to vapor-extraction wells VW-1 through VW-5 SVE procedures for the site were described in the <br /> September 2004 Interim Remediation Work Plan <br /> 2 1 FREMEDIATION SYSTEM PROCEDURES <br /> The SVE systeiri utilized a TCAT thermal/catalytic oxidizer to volatilize and extract adsorbed , <br /> hydrocarbon vapor from the subsurface A manifold network of two-inch diameter,schedule 80 PVC <br />' piping was installed underground from wells'V�W-1 through VW-5 to the inlet of a moisture <br /> knockout drum, the outlet of thv moisture knockout drum was routed to the SVE unit <br /> =A Magnehelic vacuum gauge was attached to the inlet line of the SVE system, air flow was <br /> monitored at the inlet using a Dwyer DS-200 flow sensor A flow rate was determined from the <br />' measured differential pressure and the piping diameter using a nomograph (Appendix A) <br /> In order to monitor the efficiency of hydrocarbon removal 1)the SVE air flow of the influent stream <br />' was monitored routinely utilizing an organic vapor analyzer(OVA), and 2) influent air flow vapor <br /> stream sample was collected from sampling ports installed upstream (influent) of the SVE system <br /> Sand analyzed Field measurements were recorded at regular intervals and are summarized in Table I <br />' + Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> 7 � <br /> r <br />
