Interim Remediation Work Plan <br /> Former STEFANO'S GAS STATION <br /> 1419 East Charter Way, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf of Ms Winifred Alexander of the Mary Gardella Trust,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> (AGE)has prepared the enclosed Interim Remediation Work Plan(IRWP),detailing design of a soil <br /> vapor extraction/in-situ ozone sparging(SVE/IOS)remediation system for petroleum hydrocarbon- <br /> impacted soil and ground water at 1419 East Charter Way, Stockton, California This IRWP was <br /> prepared as directed through verbal conversations with Mr Jeffery Wong of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD), and Is in accordance with Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for investigations of underground storage <br /> tank(UST) sites The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1, the layout of existing structures <br /> and the locations of monitoring wells are illustrated on Figure 2 Site background information can <br /> be found in the AGE-prepared Well Installation and Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Report, dated <br /> 30 August 2004 <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The SJCEHD verbally directed during a 23 July 2004 phone conversation,interim ground water and <br /> soil remediation of petroleum hydrocarbon impact at the subject property The scope of work <br /> presented in this IRWP includes design and installation of an SVE and IOS system, which will <br /> involve the following tasks <br /> • Permitting, planning and pre-field work activities, <br /> • Installation of SVE and IOS systems and above-ground remediation piping network, <br /> • Performance of a 24-week ozone sparge pilot test, including monthly monitoring, to <br /> determine feasibility of ozone sparging for ground water remediation, <br /> • SVE system start-up period, including monitoring and maintenance, <br /> • SVE system operation for approximately 24-weeks, and <br /> • Progress/confirmation. sampling <br /> Each of these tasks are discussed below in detail <br /> 21 MTIAL ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable and necessary permits will be obtained from SJCEHD,San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution <br /> Control District (SJVAPCD) and if necessary, City of Stockton Building Department prior to <br /> initiation ofthe remediation project As required by SJCEHD permitting,a site health and safety plan <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
