4 i <br /> 1 ' 14 September 2004 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 03-1100 <br /> Page 3 of 9 <br /> To determine the effectiveness of ozone sparging, ground water samples will be collected monthly <br /> from existing monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-7 and analyzed at a DHS-certified laboratory <br /> The water samples will be analyzed for the following constituents <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance with EPA Method 8015 <br /> Modified, <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX)in accordance with EPA Method <br /> 8260 Modified, <br /> • The fuel additives methyl-tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), di- <br /> isopropyl ether(DIPE),ethyl tertiary butyl ether(ETBE),tertiary amyl methyl ether(TAME), <br /> 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-dibromo ethane (EDB) in accordance with EPA <br /> Method 8260 Modified, and <br /> • Iron by EPA method 6010B <br /> Additionally, dissolved oxygen and oxygen reduction potential (ORP) in ground water will be <br /> measured at wells MW-1 through MW-7 on a monthly basis <br /> Laboratory reports for ground water analyses,testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality <br /> control(QA/QC)reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in monthly <br /> reports <br /> 25 SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION SYSTEM START-UP PERIOD <br /> AGE will initiate a start-up period(first week of operation)for the SVE system Influent and effluent <br /> organic vapor (OV) concentrations will be collected on a daily basis using an organic vapor meter <br /> (OVM) equipped with a photo-ionization detector(PID)to ensure optimal destruction of recovered <br /> hydrocarbon vapors In addition,operational parameters including air flow,combustion temperature, <br /> volume of processed vapor will be monitored daily during the start-up period <br /> After the start-up period, the SVE unit will be monitored weekly for OV using a OVM to ensure <br /> optimal destruction of recovered hydrocarbon vapor,and to monitor cleanup progress,initially,OV <br /> measurements will be collected on a more frequent basis until the system has stabilized OVM <br /> measurements will be recorded from the influent and effluent vapor streams of the SVE unit <br /> Vapor samples from the SVE influent and the effluent streams will be collected in Tedlar bags on <br /> a monthly basis and submitted to a State of California Department of Health Services (DHS)- <br /> f{� certified laboratory for analysis for the following constituents <br /> Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc <br />
