'INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mrs Winfred Alexander, executor of Mary Gardella Trust, Advanced N',x
IGeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 1419
East Charter Way, Stockton, California (site) The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved
I petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground water and to characterize ground water elevation,
flow direction and hydraulic gradient on the site The site and the surrounding area are illustrated in
Figure 1 On-site structures and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2
'2.0. PROCEDURES
Field procedures were performed m accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board(CVRWQCB)and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)guidelines
Ifor investigating underground storage tank(UST)sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells
It 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
t
On 23 December 2003, ground water monitoring and sampling were performed on wells MW-1
through MW-7 Prior to sampling, the depth to groundwater was measured from the top of each well
casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter The ground water elevation in
each well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed
casing elevation (Table 1) -
After water levels were measured, each monitoring well was Ipurged of standing water utilizing a
' new, disposable bailer Approximately 2 0 to 3 5 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing-water
volumes) were removed, from each well Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were
' measured at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data
are included in Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon Department of
Transportation (DOT)-approved drums pending proper disposal
r 2 2 ' COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES # ";
' Water samples were collected from the purged wells using new disposable plastic bailers after, '
allovwing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water
sample was transferred into three 40-m1 volatile organic analysis(VOA)vials containing 0 5 ml 18%
. hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative ,
' Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc
f '
